I am a psychologist trained at the University of Algarve (OPP: 29604), with a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from the University of Minho and a specialization in Psychoanalysis from INSPSIC. My clinical practice is guided by careful listening to each person’s singularity, their history, relationships, and the social and cultural context in which they live.

I work with adults and adolescents, in Portuguese and English, supporting people who wish to deepen their understanding of their subjectivity, the way they relate to themselves and the world, and become more consciously involved in their own lives.

Professional path profissional

In 2016, I moved to Portugal, motivated by the desire to experience a new culture and grow in new contexts. In 2019, I completed my degree in Psychology at the University of Algarve, with part of my training at the University of Granada in Spain and the University of Porto. In 2022, I completed a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology at the University of Minho and later specialized in Psychoanalysis.

I began my professional practice with adolescents in the prevention of addictive behaviours, and later moved into clinical work with adolescents and adults, maintaining clinical supervision and case discussion as important parts of my training.

In 2024, I moved to Germany, where I currently combine private clinical practice with work at a shelter for survivors of domestic violence, providing psychosocial support to children and families.

My own experience of immigration also shapes the way I listen to those who come to me. Living in different countries brought me closer to questions of belonging, identity, adaptation, loneliness, and the transformations that can accompany migration.

Throughout my professional path, experience in different cultural contexts has broadened my clinical perspective and reinforced the importance of a more comprehensive approach, attentive not only to symptoms but also to each person’s existential and singular questions within the social and cultural context in which their story takes shape.

My work, however, is not limited to immigration. Anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, insecurities, conflicts, and periods of change can take on very particular meanings in each person’s experience.

I believe psychotherapy can be a space of care and listening, where it is possible to build new meanings and deepen self-understanding, allowing a person to position themselves with greater awareness and authenticity in their own life.

An attentive gaze toward what moves through you.

How to begin

When should I seek help?

You do not need to wait until something becomes unbearable to seek therapy. The process can make sense when suffering, conflicts, distress, or recurring patterns begin to affect well-being and mental health. It can also begin with the desire to better understand yourself, your relationships, choices, and ways of being in the world.

It can be a space to recognize and work with limitations, reflect on possibilities, and become more consciously involved in your own life. Sometimes, the desire to know yourself more deeply is already a starting point.

How do online sessions work?

Sessions take place by video call via Google Meet, at a previously agreed time, and last 50 minutes.

How often do therapy sessions take place?

Sessions are generally weekly. Frequency can be discussed according to the needs of the therapeutic process and availability.

What happens in the first session?

The first session is a space to talk about what led you to seek therapy, the main issues you are experiencing at this moment, and what motivated you to look for support. It is also an opportunity to get to know the way I work and clarify any questions. You do not need to know beforehand whether this approach is the right fit; this can also be understood and developed as the process begins.
